Operational Excellence Focus:
The Maintenance Supervisor is a critical role at our plant.
You will be charged with supervising and developing maintenance team members through your strong leadership skills and knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components.
You will mentor staff, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and ensure proper sanitation and safety guidelines are being met.
Main duties will include:
Lead and communicate continuous improvement initiatives through coaching, feedback, and recognition with team members.
Monitor, update and implement the plant predictive and preventative maintenance plan on all boot manufacturing equipment, including mechanical and electrical equipment.
Guide the manufacturing team to reduce technical stoppages in equipment or areas of common occurrence.
Propose and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with the Best Maintenance Practices.
Ensure the implementation of all repairs/modifications resulting from Gap assessments, plant audits, and notifications are executed on time and offer a high-quality workmanship.
Ensure job planning, material and services planning is accurate and effective as well as ensure equipment history, damage code and root cause analysis are completed correctly.
Evaluate the performance of team members and provide periodic feedback to ensure development.
Collaborate with plant manager and staff, suppliers, contractors, and plant partners to ensure alignment.
Encourage close teamwork between all functions (Engineering, Productions, Quality Management, etc.
).
Skills & Abilities Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial, footwear of boot manufacturing preferred.
Experience with leather products preferred.
Experience supervising personnel preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Must be able to work extended hours, Saturdays and Holiday.
Physical Requirements:
Good physical condition and strength
Able to safely lift boxes up to 30 pounds.
