Duties
Brief units on the benefits of the Mission Essential Fitness program and all other programs offered by the Fort Bliss Department of Human Performance.
Design and implement Mission Essential Fitness Physical Training Circuits and teach Civilian Employee Fitness Program exercise classes weekly.
Provide expertise, technical knowledge, and coordination for preparing strength and conditioning programs for large groups and individuals.
Provide advice to the Director of Human Performance on all aspects of Ironworks East Gym, Mission Essential Fitness Program, and Civilian Employee Fitness Program.
Manage daily operations of Ironworks East Gym to include cleaning and maintaining the facility and equipment.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Able and willing to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and special events as needed.

**Minimum Qualifications: -Undergraduate education (Four-year degree) - Major study - physical education or related field.
OR -Experience in implementing athletic strength and conditioning programming in a group setting.
This experience must demonstrate skill in implementing programming for diverse populations found within the military environment including elite performance, rehabilitation, and basic fitness training.
-Experience in planning, administering, or carrying out a sports program in a community, industrial activity, or secondary school or college.
May require the following highly qualifying criteria: Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification (SCCC) OR National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) Best Qualifications: 1.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or similar field 2.
Certified by National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) AND/OR Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) OR able to obtain these certifications within 1 year of employment.
3.
Experience working with large groups in a tactical/collegiate strength and conditioning setting.
4.
Capable of designing, coaching, demonstrating High Intensity Interval Training.

When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
