Major/Essential Functions
Provides inpatient and outpatient pediatric neurology clinical services at the El Paso Children's Hospital and outpatient clinic of TTUHSC El Paso
Supervises residents' clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures
Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission
Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations;
Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L.
Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
Required Qualifications

Degree
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited child neurology residency program
Board Certification in neurology with special qualification in child neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, or successful completion of neurology subspecialty fellowship from an ACGME-accredited program in the United States
Texas medical license, or eligible for licensure in Texas
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for consideration at the rank of associate professor or higher
