Major/Essential Functions
Provides inpatient and outpatient adult neurology clinical services to include critically ill neurological patients and stroke consults at either the assigned Neurology Outpatient clinic or the designated affiliated hospital(s)
Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include presentation of lectures
Participates in academic research and scholarly activities
Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission
Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations; adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L.
Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency program
Successful completion of an ACGME or UCNS accredited neuro-critical care fellowship program in the United States
Board Certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Must have a Texas medical license or be eligible for licensure in Texas
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish and English preferred)
Regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for consideration at the rank of Associate Professor or higher
