Delivery Driver (Temp to hire)

Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, has an immediate opening for three delivery drivers for one of our clients in Central El Paso.
This is a temporary to hire opportunity.
Drivers will deliver items to customers.
Drivers will also be required to pick up any local purchases and deliver to warehouse.
Drivers will maintain electronic or manual logs if needed to track their route schedule and confirm deliveries.
Their job is to operate a delivery truck in a safe, efficient manner to deliver products to customers within a particular area.
They may also be responsible for obtaining signatures from recipients when delivering.
Requirements - Responsibilities: A valid driver’s license Class A, B, or C.
Valid DOT medical card.
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
Valid Food Handlers card.
At least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely.
Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients Drivers must always present a clean, professional appearance.
Drivers are expected to be well groomed a wear clean assigned uniforms.
Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavier materials, as well as be able to load and unload them from their trucks.
Arrive at destinations on schedule Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays Interact with clients professionally at all times Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use Maintain trucks clean and orderly Work in a safe efficient manner.
Reports and incidents of any kind.
Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date Maintain all assigned equipment in good working condition: Conduct Pre & Post trip truck inspection.
Trucks Electric or manual pallet jacks Hand trucks Be able to work extended shifts as needed.
Be able to work six days / week as needed.
