*Rate: *$15/hour morning $17/hour evening
*Schedule: *12 hour shifts, rotating days open availability

BSC offers temporary hospitality, meeting a comprehensive set of basic needs, for asylum-seekers released from DHS custody on their way to their U.
S.
-based sponsor.
We also provide opportunities for community members and visitors to learn about and serve in our borderlands community.

*About the Role: *Drivers provide reliable and safe driving services ensuring the highest standards of discretion, integrity, and responsibility.
Drivers may be required to carry out clerical support services.
Drivers organize and accurately complete multiple tasks by following established work priorities provided by their Supervisor(s).
Drivers are supervised by Travel Supervisors, and the Facility/Fleet/Grounds Technicians.
The Supervisors coordinate daily transport around El Paso, TX and on-site work.
Supervision focuses on the successful achievement of assignments (quality, timeliness, etc.
).
Drivers connect with our contacts both on and off campus including, but not limited to, our guests and volunteers at the El Paso International Airport for effective collaboration.
*Responsibilities: *Operations: Works with a variety of teams to carry out operations related to the Hospitality Center (temporary shelter).
Relevant operations include, but may not be limited to:
● Transportation
* Providing safe and reliable transportation for guests and other authorized personnel
* Transporting guests to transit stations in El Paso, TX
* Record-keeping
* Ensuring availability of all the required documentation/supplies including, but not limited to, vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, vehicle logs, first aid kit and other MOSS-compliant equipment, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle
* Maintaining accurate vehicle log books and recording daily trips to ensure efficient vehicle use and fuel consumption to support accurate accounting and cost-efficiency
● Regular vehicle upkeep
* Ensuring proper day-to-day maintenance of assigned vehicles:
* Checking and maintaining oil levels, tire pressure, brake and water levels, etc.
* Keeping vehicles clean and in good running condition at all times:
* Cleanliness (inside and out), etc.
● Reporting to the Facility/Fleet/Grounds Technicians
* Major repairs, in a timely manner
* Vehicle maintenance, planning and reporting
● Coordination & Communication
* Coordinate with volunteers at the El Paso Airport
* Address questions by guests en-route to transit stations

* Perform basic tasks at the direction of Supervisors
* Perform other relevant duties assigned
*Candidate Requirements: *Education: High school diploma or equivalent
● Experience
* Minimum two (2) years of full- time work experience
* Valid driver's license
* Safe driving record
*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities*
* Excellent knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
* Knowledge of local roads and conditions
* Skilled in minor vehicle repair
* Good knowledge of security issues
* Knowledge of rules and procedures regarding vehicle management including, but not limited to, maintenance of a fleet of vehicles and knowledge of mechanics and maintenance and repair of vehicles.
* Ability to deal calmly with unexpected circumstances or delays.
